You can now initiate your own inter-library loan requests online for any title you locate through FirstSearch!
Whether you find a book available at another library through WorldCat,
or an article in a journal to which we do not subscribe,
you can attach an ILL request to the record and send it to a review file for Mary Haney to process.
What’s the advantage?
This saves time in the ILL ordering process and enables you to fill out your request at the keyboard rather than having to write out a paper request for each article and book.
How it works:
From "electronic databases," click on FirstSearch.
Choose either WorldCat (if you’re searching for books) or one of the article databases.
Search as usual.
When you find an article or book which you want and it’s not available in our libraries, click on the title.
On the next page, look for the ILL icon at the top left side of the screen.
Click on it and type in the required information. When you’re
finished, click "submit" at the bottom of the screen.
