Inter-library Loans (ILL) Services
Inter-library services are used to borrow items from other libraries.
Interlibrary loan service is available ONLY to current SJS students and faculty.
Use Worldcat to request books and audio-visual materials on inter-library loan if you can not find them at the Doheny Libraries Online Catalog.
To make an inter-library loan book request:
1. Create a Worldcat account.
2. Once you are successfully logged in it will say;
“You are connected to the St. John’s Seminary Theology Library Network.”
3. Find the item you want to borrow. Click on the title to bring up a new window.
4. You’ll see “Request Item.” Clicking this button will bring up an online form.
5. Fill out the form completely.

Use EBSCO to request articles through inter-library loan for periodicals you cannot
find in the Doheny Libraries Online Catalog.

2. When the site opens choose all or individual databases.
3. When you have selected all the databases you want, click the button which says "Continue" at the top or bottom of the page.
4. In the box next to the word "Find" type keywords for a search for your topic.
