A native of Ukraine, Victoria holds an ecclesiastical licentiate in Eastern Christian Studies from the University of St. Paul, Ottawa and a doctorate in Eastern Ecclesiastical Studies from the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome. Her areas of specialization include Biblical Greek, Byzantine History and Theology, and the History of Sacred Art and Architecture. In 2007 she completed her Diploma from the Vatican School of Library Science.

Marianne Sterna comes to us from the County of San Diego where she spent fifteen years serving the in-house counsel of their Civil Division as a law librarian. During her tenure there, she obtained her master’s degree in library and information science. Marianne raised five children, of which four are living and, of those, three currently reside in the Portland area and the other in southern Austria. Marianne lives within walking distance of the St. John’s Seminary campus in Camarillo and, in her free time, enjoys swimming, bicycling, hiking, and dance.

John is a graduate of the (now-defunct) St. John's Seminary College, earning his degree in philosophy with a minor in Spanish literature. He then went on to pursue a master's degree in English literature from Cal State Northridge, during which time he focused on the works of Jane Austen as well as the emerging field of Digital Humanities. In addition to his work in the Doheny Libraries, John teaches Spanish at the seminary and offers proofreading and editorial services to the campus.
